CHINESE NEW YEAR

Gong Xi Fa Cai everyone! Today's the 6th day of Chinese New Year which means school is going to reopen in less than 8 hours (Yes, I'm updating my blog at midnight and I decided to skip school, my parents allowed me to. LOL). Now talk about the weather during Chinese New Year, it was super duper, extremely HOT. People were spreading the news that it will be a chilly Chinese New Year this year. Well, I call that bullshyt. The clothes that I wore were all drenched with sweat and I have to wear 'em for the whole day. Wow. Just wow.

DAY 1

Back to the topic. So on the first day of Chinese New Year, my family and I went to 3 temples and visited one of my relatives. The first temple that we went to is Jin Long Zi (金龙子), which was located at Rawang. The ride from Petaling Jaya to there was actually a 40 minutes ride but it became a 2 hours long ride. Thanks to the horrible traffic jam.

 And I also took quite a lot of selcas while we were on our way to there but most of 'em got deleted. Girls ;p

We then left for the second temple, Chempaka Buddhist Lodge (千百家居士林). It's the most well-known temple in Petaling Jaya. My friends and I contribute as helpers for Wesak Day at there annually. Yes, this year is not an exception too :) Being a helper is fun although it can be a bit tiring ^^

This is what happens when you have 3 females in a family. 

After visiting the temple, we went back home to have our lunch. The first thing I did when I went back home is, duhh, upload pictures on Instagram! It was that time where you can see most of the people that you had followed uploaded their #OOTD including yourself. Am I right? Maybe. Maybe not. LOL. We then proceeded to my auntie's house which was at Cheras. So my cousins and I  met up at there and we gambled, again. We actually gambled together the day before this but who cares. AHAHAHA. It's not Chinese New Year if you don't gamble :p Lose RM10 on the first day but I won 'em back the other day. No lost. Lucky enough eh :3

We then went to Tien Hou Temple (天后宫) (which means the 3rd a.k.a last temple of the day) at that night. We purposely went there at night cause of their light decos. That place was filled with people and i was scared of pick-pockets. I was wearing a backpack on my back and my hand was cupping it the whole time. Or maybe i thought too much. lol. One word to describe there, ''people mountain, people sea''.

DAY 2

A tiring day for me. Visited all the relatives in just a day when i'm not feeling really well. Parents invited Lion Dance to our house on the morning. This Lion Dance event was actually held by a temple in my area. Villagers can invite them to their house on the first and second day of Chinese New Year. While the Lion Dance was happening in the house, I was taking my time to get ready. I need at least one hour to get ready, for your information. So these pictures were taken by my sister.

After an hour, relatives finally came to visit us and BOOM, my house was fully packed and we forgot to turn on the air conditioner. Smart.

My house is actually quite small. But cozy.

We then went to relatives' houses. We actually planned to walked to their houses since it was all nearby but the weather killed our plan. The weather was still, super duper HOT. So we went there by car.

On that night, we went to my aunt and uncle's house which was at Cheras. Their house is like a mini cinema. Watched The Avengers at there. I know i'm a bit too late but who cares, that movie is awesome. I didn't know that Captain America is that good looking. AHAHA. Hope there's a sequel for it. Few hours later, they brought us to somewhere near to have our dinner. I didn't really ate that much though. It's not that I have a small appetite. It was because of their dishes. Almost all of 'em were Seafood. Yes, I'm allergic to seafood which is very sad :c We then went back home after it.
